Sure it is, but that’s not really an excuse for bad art. I mean, life can be anticlimactic, and it can have poor sound and awful performances, and it can often seem pointless and trite and cliched. But I would hope the books I read or TV shows or movies I watch lack those negative elements.

Let’s face it, Stephen King’s not a great writer, period. And yeah, his sex scenes are pretty bad in general. He’s a great story teller and has one hell of an imagination, but his style is lacking, to say the least.
