Everyone played it off with smiles, but watching that made me feel sick to my stomach. I have such a hard time watching any kind of live show because I get so nervous for the performers. So seeing these ladies struggling on stage is such an awful feeling. Good for them (And Colbert) for keeping it light though,

Started reading the first one... “Viola Davis was a professor? Ok, cool. Wait a second...what the hell is this?”

This gave me a good laugh. If you can’t convert them, destroy them!

Val’s speech to the judges at the end of the rehearsal video was so bonkers. At first, I thought he was talking crap about Tamar, when he said he wasn’t trying to make her life difficult. Then it felt like he was defending her and getting way too emotional about it. And then he told the judges that it didn’t matter

Her dress rehearsal dance was actually really beautiful! I think with that extra “oomph” she would have given it for the live show, it could have been something special.

I think you’re probably right. He knows he’s not great- his partner even said it at the start of their video. It must be a little embarrassing knowing that people are voting for you not based on the dancing. Especially when he seems a little embarrassed by the hero worship too.

Alexa’s been a bit weepy for a lot of the season, but yes, last night was ridiculous. Even though I knew she was leaving, I was still rooting for Carlos to go. I know her scores are usually up and down, but I really enjoy watching her dances. Also, earlier in the episode, didn’t Carlos specifically say that he wanted

Sorry, after rereading my post, I see that it could be taken that way. I wasn’t saying that engineers, scientists, etc can’t have nice nails. I was just thinking that if a girl is having her nails done by this little machine, she’s probably more focused on the finished product and how sparkly and pretty it is. Maybe

Hey c’mon now, I said the mentoring was a good idea! No matter how girls get into STEM careers, I think it’s great. I was more skeptical of the company’s approach. Similar to how Dove does “empowerment” ads. They don’t give a crap about female empowerment, they just want to sell some damn deodorant. With this company,

Part of me scoffs at the faux female-empowerment message that yet another beauty product/company is embracing. I very much doubt that any girl decorating her nails is going to be inspired by this device to become an engineer or scientist. The mentoring is pretty cool though, I think girls benefit so much just from

Right?? I have nobody to talk to about this show! I only started watching this year because of Nick, and I fell so hard for this silly thing. These diary articles are my outlet!

I think the producers like taking us on a roller coaster ride with Tamar. They edit her to look like a bitch, then try to redeem her by having her partner get mad about the editing. Then they show her humbled and crying....they’re having fun with their job.

I’ve wondered about that. If they can just ask the producers to boot them off because of personal stuff. I’m assuming that somewhere in Victor’s contract it specifically said he needed to be booted off weeks ago so he could prepare for the race he just won.

I love these articles every week, they crack me up! This might be my personal favorite. This week’s episode was so over the top lovey-dovey and sickly sweet. I love Bindi but even I was starting to get a little nauseated. Bindi losing her f-ing mind in her diary is perfect!

I bought this exact pair of pants and had to return them. They look super cute, but if you wear them for actual exercise, there’s no give to them. I think the top is “control top” so that it forcibly sucks you in, which is nice for lounging, horrible for actually using your muscles.

I do hair for a living, so people like to tell me their very strong opinions on the manbun. It seems like you either love it and find it incredibly sexy, or you think it’s an abomination and needs to disappear NOW. I personally find it pretty sexy on the right guy. It’s long hair, so it has that rebellious factor.

Kevin’s definitely the best in this horribly corny song/video. I never liked Howie (I never knew anyone who did, actually) but I remember hearing this as a kid and thinking how awful he was. Get with the f-ing program, Howie!

I used to sing/say this intro all the time as a kid! Extra dramatic emphasis to really nail those emotional bits! I love Kevin, the unsung hero of BSB!

I could never really pinpoint any time when Tamar was screwed over by racism, I just thought it was kind of unfair that Nick and Bindi would get such high praise but Tamar not so much. But this week, when Tamar was nailed yet again for her crappy attitude, and Alek (who acted like a little punk) didn’t hear too much

You’re probably right about Alexa, and that bums me out. I think she’s actually really good! Lately, she seems a little flustered, maybe because the judges have been harsher on her. Although, watching last night, I had a theory. Obviously, it’s partly a popularity contest. I think you were right about Tamar. She’s a
