With Hannibal, Fuller never got to fulfill his true passion of ditching a project before it was complete, but he still has hopes he can.

The Office cold open when he and Pam prank Dwight is easily in my top 10, if not top 5, funny moments of that show’s entire run. It’s perfect. (Particularly because he was in the running for the Jim role.)

A couple of my wife’s best friends from high school, who never dated, ended up getting married in their early 30s (him after a divorce from the woman he dated in college, her coming off a string of almost-but-not-quite relationships).  Their shared history and friendship definitely moved things along.

Already planning on watching it tomorrow night. Just wondering if I should go totally stereotypical and plan on eating some cookie dough and ice cream while I watch.

...seeming to delight in the idea that the movie might end on a more human moment, rather than a series of stellar computer-assisted explosions.

I haven’t read the comics, so I might not be the best judge, but it feels like the X-Men would make a better TV show than a film series. An ensemble with developing storylines and relationships, featuring some grand action scenes but often prioritizing character and sociopolitical themes. You could say the same

They also realised the middle section was strikingly similar to ‘The Gods Must Be Crazy’, at which point they admitted the screenwriting process had gotten away from them a bit.

You care for her, you’ve been all this time by her side, and leaving her will make you feel guilty for not doing enough. Don’t. You’ve already shared 20 years of your life with her, that’s more than enough, and now is your time to start a new life. Don’t sacrifice your happiness anymore.
Don’t think of it as wasted

How do I make sure I enjoy my upcoming wedding instead of worrying about how it will go?

It also forgets that the Tarlys had literally just massacred an entire city and murdered their allies.

The whole Daenerys as Mad Queen thing is strange. Like my definition of “Mad” monarch is based on the book/show interpretation of the Mad King which was that he was insane. I never got that Daenerys was insane. She’s ruthless, but not moreso than Stannis Baratheon or Tywin Lannister or any other major power player in

“Few would argue that Daenerys turning into the Mad Queen and destroying King’s Landing wasn’t fitting, as it was foreshadowed multiple times “

This is horseshit. The “foreshadowing” is only there retroactively. Had it gone the other way, there was just as much “foreshadowing” that would have shown her moving to being

In the episode’s “Inside The Episode” installment, Weiss says that the Red Keep, in that moment, symbolized all she and her family had lost, and the sight of it turned things personal for Daenerys.

Foreshadowing plot points does not equal character development. While Dany going full fascist might be her natural endpoint, the show hadn’t earned it because the arc was incomplete. Hell, the final episode has Tyrion stop the plot to monologue to the audience to tell us how we should feel about Dany. It’s not the

I’m SUCH a sucker for rom-coms, but as theaters become more annoying to go to and blockbusters get bigger and bigger, I’m only going to the movie for a special experience, and rom-coms rarely pass that bar. I watched this after hearing some recommendations from friends and and very much enjoyed it. It’s nothing

And Dany needed to be a much slower boil than she was. Honestly, that’s where you can see the rush at its worst—she should have swooped in like a savior, blasting the Red Keep to bits even after Cersei surrendered but sparing the city. Then she kills the surrendered soldiers, then she governs like she did in Mereen

I read somewhere somewhere that re-watching shows stimulates the same part of the brain as hanging out with friends. (I don’t re-watch much, but I do keep Adventure Time on my phone)

I was being pithy, but I’ll add a few points.

I love the casting of Sheldon, both of his folks, the girl playing his twin sister and of course Annie Potts as his Meemaw.

Young Sheldon is a very-well cast show, all around. It’s worth checking out on that basis alone. I’m just worried that the talented young actor playing Sheldon will end up growing up weird as a result of spending too much emulating that Parsons guy from BBT. I hope he’s well taken care of. Say what you will about
