I don’t work for Epix. I don’t even get the channel. But on my cable lineup it’s right before the broadcast subchannels like Comet and MeTV, so I end up seeing their schedule a lot.

I hope they spare no expense on this worthy endeavor.

You thought Moby went deep the first time!”

It’s as interesting and unique as it’s reputation, I’d say. The whole series is pretty cold and largely lacking in human emotion, save a few genuinely wonderful moments. That’s appropriate to the material, but it can be offputting. A few long stretches focused on ecology can be a drag the first time through.

**record scratch and freeze frame**

That’s what I was hoping for.

It is known.

I know its been overtaken by T2 as the far superior film from Cameron but The Abyss is the proper start of modern CGI.

This your first time Interneting?

Depends.

Can’t you ask the restaurant? I’m sure some include soda water with the free regular water and others include it with the sodas they charge for.

Is it wrong to fill my free water cup with soda water?”

THIS. not only do baggers suck at bagging, but it's very awkward to get your reusable bags to them because they are still working the last person when the cashier starts me. Either let me bag my own or give me a self checkout.

I’m sure this is going to make me “that guy,”  but walking up and ordering at the counter is exactly what you do at a fast food joint and i don’t tip there and i’m not tipping you either, despite your tip jar.   i’m sure it’s my age, since i remember a time before anyone had the nerve to put out a tip jar for this

Right? “It appears he got a meatless bowl at Chipotle, but he didn’t get the guac, which was free on a meatless bowl at the time. WTF?” What the researchers didn’t know is that they ran out of guac today.

That’s true. In a lot of ways, it’s DCEU Origins: Watchmen.

Watchmen is easily the better movie of the two (in my opinion it’s merely mediocre and disappointing, rather than bad), and arguably more “important” since it’s possibly part of why we’ve got the DC Snyderverse.

Unless they rebrand to IHOP Classic, we’re not even going to remember that this happened 6 months from now..

Agreed. Even Harry Potter, which deals with bloodlines and lineage as much as if not moreso than Star Wars, made it clear right from the beginning that magic users can come from nonmagical families (in Hermione specifically). Why shouldn’t Star Wars try to get back to that idea too?

Not even comparable. Highmore has transcended even Perkins in my mind, though I'll always hold his performance, far more limited in time (4 movies as opposed to 5 seasons of a TV series) as the first great incarnation. Highmore pushes it into extremely disturbing realms and is actually quite terrifying in a way
