There are about a 1000 more actions they could take in Las Vegas that would have a larger water conservation impact. This is just for optics only. People with pools are bad, shame. But don’t pay any mind to these massive casinos which contribute to their election campaigns.

No more printing money. Fine to spend on these programs but stop spending on something else first!

Agree. This is the most pointless article I’ve read on gizmodo in some time... and that is really saying something.

What does “nice ourselves to death” mean?  This is corp speak I’m not familiar with.

With all the angst built up within the ranks of activision, I don’t see how microsoft is going to make this marriage work. Kudos to them for being willing to make the attempt, but I predict more articles like this well after the acquisition is complete. Hard to overcome a sick corporate culture with so many unhappy

Good. About the only plausible carbon friendly way to meet the world’s fast growing demands for energy.

They basically used the Asimov name and the popularity of the Foundation series as a marketing tool. The show itself is ok, but a bit silly and melodramatic. Unfortunate they didn’t follow the actual Asimov story, but I do hope they keep making sci-fi.

Make interesting content, find an audience, get a lot of views. Formula isn’t that complicated. No big conspiracy here I can see.

The audio books done by Scott Brick were very well done.

Alert, someone is using cameras... <eyeroll>

Not about saving face, its about saving $. If the IOC cancels it, then the IOC pays for it. If the host country cancels it, the host country pays for it.  Japan cannot afford to take that kind of a financial hit as noted.

The only reasons you have the technology you do and different options for the future is because society has been powered by the oil & gas industry.  It is easy for you to look back from your comfortable life here in the future throwing stones at the past... but it is just empty virtual signaling at this point unless

Yet another otherwise decent site trying to cram politics down everyones throat at every opportunity. I’m outta here.

Not just un-insured, but not even in the country legally. Over the years living here in the Houston area we have gotten rear-ended twice, both by someone in the country illegally, no id, no insurance, etc. The police just shrugged. No consequences for them, and all our insurance rates go up as a result.

However... it is pretty amazing that hitting a stationary fire truck when doing 60mph only resulted in a broken ankle. It is pretty incredible how far crash protection has improved.

First BMW neutered the M3/M4, and now Audi too. This generation of sports cars are very unsatisfying to drive without a V8. The stop/start on the A4/S4 is incredibly annoying!... It is by far the most annoying stop/start I have used, and it is much more aggressive than prior Audi start/stop. It is also impossible to

I completely agree. That fight is still worth fighting. You could buy a used ~2009 or so M3. Fun car with a great engine.

Because they want to demonstrate how much more refined and superior to you they are. These are the same people who go out of their way to point out grammatical errors in reddit comments, and mispronunciations on youtube videos. Life is too awesome to allow yourself to be so easily agitated.

Everyone wasn’t obsessed with the 1980s, only the creator of the Oasis was. As a result, those seeking to understand the creator and the secrets of the Oasis immersed themselves in that culture as well. I seriously doubt anyone in 2040 outside of the hardcore gunters knew anything about the 80s.
