Ugh, I’m sorry :( This seems like a compatibility issue. I’m a quiet person too and any relationship I’ve had with a person that didn’t get or respect that never lasted long. It is ultimately too draining to try to be someone I’m not.  This might be a good thing if he’s pulling back before you’ve invested too much…

It is exhausting. I have to read about Trump, because I hate looking at him, and I can’t stand his voice, and I have to do in small bits because otherwise I would probably have a stroke from all the rage I feel. 

Talking to a Canadian friend a few months ago-she observed that US Americans were “apathetic”. We’re not apathetic so much as we are just fucking exhausted after the last 3 years. What a clusterfuck!
