I feel your pain exactly. This is a ridiculous system that I don’t see anywhere else, where I’m a well-informed, helpful, clever commenter—The Guardian, the WaPo, Corporette—you name it.

There was birth control in the sixties. Fifties, even.

I’ve had two D&Cs but not for polyps. No pain with either one (one was, like, a week or two after childbirth) but the anesthesia took a long time to leave me it seems. I was groggy and sleepy for a few weeks. But again--no pain. Just take it easy and be kind to yourself.
