The Vernon contract is considered the main reason the Patriots traded Chandler Jones for a (possibly backup) guard and a late 2nd round pick. Jones is pretty comparable to Vernon, in terms of pure production.

I don’t disagree - you would obviously make a better team from the Spurs, Clippers, Blazers and Grizzlies (Western conference seeds 2,4,5 and 7). But the above team would likely beat any team out west save the Spurs and Warriors (with Curry), which are both historically great teams.
