My guess is there aren't many things Ubuntu would do on your Android device better than Android will; Android is years into production, so many bugs have been worked out, plus the phones were designed specifically with that OS in mind. But that doesn't mean that can't change. If Ubuntu Touch kicks off, companies might

I think it's probably normal to be confused by it because forgiveness isn't exactly a natural reaction. If it were, Jesus wouldn't have had to tell us to do it. It's definitely not an easy thing to do most times.

I wasn't aware this required a study. To forgive something is to stop letting it bother you. If something doesn't bother you, you won't think about it, and if you don't think about it, you'll soon forget. If you can't forgive someone, you definitely won't forget their wrongdoing, because it will continue to bother

I used to have this happen a lot. It caused me to not be able to sleep on my back, since there's an eerily high correlation between the two.

Wow, that's crazy. Fortunately, my 360 does plenty for me as is, so it's not something I'll be concerned about. But that's good to know and warn others about.

At first I thought that said you ran the games off HDD or steam...

I wasn't even planning on doing anything to my XBOX, but I have to ask, how exactly does getting it bricked actually have any effect in the business world? Most companies would have you use a company account anyway. Is it something that pops up in background checks or something?

I don't currently have one, but I'm going to get one very soon. I've recently taken up biking, and using my phone as a bike computer runs down the battery, especially since the GPS and screen are constantly on. It's gotten to the point where my phone's died on me a couple times before I've made it home, so I'm looking

I recommend doing it. I also recommend taking a video and letting us see the results.

Here in FL, an officer can't pull you over for texting alone. But if he finds something to pull you over for and sees you texting behind the wheel, he can add the $30 to the ticket. It sounds like you'd like that system. Personally, I don't. I think it should be more extreme. I don't like it because it encourages

For my senior project in college, I built a visibility sensor that used the scatter of IR light to determine horizontal visibility up to 10 miles as part of a larger project that sent weather data to pilots via text message or a web app. During the initial calibration/testing phase, I suddenly stopped getting the

It really drives me up the wall seeing how much they can get away with charging. I understand there's overhead to pay for with running towers, but charging for text messaging? That's bull. The towers are already going to be built for voice/data anyway, and text messages piggyback on the normal voice data packets

It all depends on what you plan to use it for. The TRE has an ARM-based processor, whereas this on is x86.

Yes, you are right. Sometimes I forget that tongue-in-cheek statements don't come across the same in written form.

Sometimes, different is all it takes. "There's no such thing as bad publicity."

Do it first or do it differntly.

Wow. This guy did an excellent job. I would love to do something like this someday.

Any small, fairly simply project you can come up with. The ATiny85 has 5 general purpose I/O, and can also do analog input (it has a 10 bit ADC) and PWM output. It also has I2C and SPI capability, so you can communicate with some other devices. I just might get one and use it to make a small, simple IR remote.

I stand corrected. By the time I made it through all the comments, I had forgotten the article had made that statement. I was taking "texting alternative" to only mean "alternative to my native text messaging app." Thanks for pointing that out.

It's definitely possible with current technology, and really wouldn't be too terribly difficult to implement if we really tried. I've been toying with the idea of trying to flash the head unit with some flavor of Linux and seeing what can be done. Then maybe I could VNC the screen over to the receiver and use Waze in
