My cousin had a MGB, we were ripping on a dirt road in Northern Saskatchewan and a moose came out of the woods - luckily - it turned and ran beside us before heading back into the trees - my cousin didn’t even have a chance to get on the brakes before the event was over. I often think about how badly that could have

1% = $10 million

9% of the blame went to Riley’s father, the registered owner of the vehicle, and just 1% went to Tesla

Didn’t the Countach come with a hammer in case it was rolled? Good to know they are already ANCAP 5 star compliant. :-)

Now playing

Be sure to watch the Motorweek comparison.

That makes sense... even though this 4000 insanely slow - there wasn’t much risk of any sudden acceleration. It takes a lot to say that -  I drove a Chevette at the time!

This reminded me of a Audi 4000 I drove ages ago that was at our shop - that beeped anytime you were at wide open throttle, which was always because it was so gutless. I could never understand the point of warning you are pedal to the metal. “Yeah, I know - I’m trying to merge without being run over”

While GM seems to putting in the building blocks for volume production of EVs.. it feels like they are ramping up so slowly.

Considering how few “cars” are available; I guess its not too surprising.

That’s why you need some sweet 80's louvers

The Hyundai concept is pretty cool. I miss all the long hatches of the 80s (the hatch - not the rest of the cars usually)

Europe got one that was pretty cool

V60 / V90 are the best looking cars on sale today. Polestar 2 has a weird AMC Eagle proportions to me.

Watch some of the early Rich Rebuild videos on Youtube where he rebuilds a flood damaged Model S.  It was actually what made me comfortable getting EV.  They aren’t any more complicated than any other car - and all newer cars are full of electronics whether EV or gas.

I am hopeful for the future - apparently GM has made it so all Bolts can now plug&charge on some networks, it was announced this week.

Best to get revenge

As a Tesla owner - the biggest thing that would be keeping me from getting a non-Tesla is the fast charging network.

It’s not a surprising move for Nissan. The Titan, since 2022, has sold almost as many units in total as the Ford F-series did last year.
