There are so many reasons childcare is so expensive. I work for a nonprofit provider of preschool and before/after school programs. We keep our costs low (about $1,000/month for full day preschool for private pay, many of our families pay nothing or much less thanks to government subsidies) and it’s still unaffordable…

Thanks, she’s mostly healthy now (minus some lingering complications from celiac that I suspect come from being misdiagnosed for so long). She even tried to sign up for a clinical trial on celiac and they turned her down because her endoscopy looked so good - her villi were perfect!

This is so true. My mother was diagnosed with celiac disease 20 years ago before it was a commonly known disease. I generally hate girl scout cookies (the exception being the double chocolate chip cookie they sold like 10 years ago and never brought back - those were delicious), but I will buy the shit out of these cookies.
