TOR is canon. One of the first things the Official Story Group did was work on the Hutt Cartel expansion. They are in the credits. Also Darth Bane is also canon, as he appears in the final episode of The Clone Wars

And Obi-Wan said it was 10,000 years old in A New Hope.

"can still safely be counted as canonical"

Yep for sure , any how eu is done. Dark horse is having fun with Aina solo star wars legacy books before marvel takes it over. I still hope Jaina solo and her brother of course as well Aina solo & Cade skywalker hop over into marvel sw take over. For sure will be rewritten to fit what they want. I don't mind

the force is strong in you my friend :D

didn't they already got rid of Korriban in the Clone Wars ? I seem to recall they renamed it Moraban or something in the last episode for whatever reason... So if that already changed, I don't see why they would keep any of the rest...

That's already been addressed in the Holocron (the official Star Wars continuity ref that's referenced). http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ruusan_Re…

But again, that's EU so its not clear how old the Republic is supposed to be if the Ruusan Reformation's been given the boot completely.

Didn't the line say that the Republic has "stood" for a thousand years? I'm pretty sure that bit still jibes with the distant past stuff, since its entirely plausible to call one of the many calamities that befell the Republic a fall. Perhaps not even one that's been talked about yet. In any case that's a line that

You're right depends on whether they want to expand on Palpatines statements about the past like telling Anakin about the Rule of Two which does date back to the Old Republic when Darth Revan made the Rule of Two and Darth Bane continued his legacy later on. But those characters are official canon due to the Novels.

Maybe, maybe not. It depends how seriously they take Palpatine's statement in Attack of the Clones that the Republic has existed for 1000 years (which itself required a major retcon in the EU).

I think the distant past stuff such as the Great Hyperspace War, the Mandalorian Wars, Jedi Civil War and the first Purge, and the Great War can still safely be counted as canonical, seeing as they're so far in the past to have no real impact on future storytelling. Some of the after effects will probably be tossed

Given the EU's gotten the boot (except for things that will be imported on a case by case basis) the Old Republic era's probably done for - at least in the short term. Which is too bad, considering it's one of the best parts of Star Wars period, EU or not (although I'll admit SWTOR never quite grabbed my fancy).

They're balanced on pillars (pilotis) which means they wouldn't disturb the ecosystem like conventional construction would. People visit state parks. This way they can see nature without disturbing it.

for my entire life, the only true pictures of pluto have been these fuzzy images. To think that in a year, we will have an updated level of detail and clarity not seen since the voyager missions.

No they are not. You are thinking about passenger pigeons.

These comment sections always make me feel like a weirdo. I absolutely hate and do not ever wear any version of full bum underwear. I find it horribly uncomfortable because it moves around, usually ends up up my buttcrack anyway, plus it's always visible under clothes that are not jeans. I just do not experience

God damned hipsters. Point taken.

I'd be more impressed if she drew a huge vagina. I mean, I'm still impressed, but I'd be more impressed by a vagina.
