"Maybe if we had an invisible tank…"
"Oh, shut up! Just shut up!!"

Yes, thank you. I always feels somewhat disappointed that no-one seems to ever advance the Starship Troopers angle when discussing this movie. I mean, that early scene about the babies thrown off cliffs is meant to be a subtle signal to the audience that there's an unreliable narrator at play, right? I think Synder

Awwww, that's sweet! I hate sweet!! I want photos - photos of Spider-Man!!

After Portal 2 came out, watching Oz is a real head trip. We see Cave Johnson - CAVE JOHNSON!! - being a despicable Neo-Nazi psycho who raped a man and defecated on his face.

High-five, fellow GURPS fan!

I think the twist is also meant to invoke the usual debate about stories and empathy - a lot of people talk about how stories help put each other in different shoes, how reading stories about people from other cultures helps us understand them better, etc. And in this case, the twist is that we are literally invoking

I'm almost disappointed they didn't manage to do "If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do?"

My knob tastes funny.

Well, it's about time one of those Twitch streams turned into a snuff film.

More like John Kerry: Pulp Globetrotting Adventurer, really.

I wanted a mix-up with The Sopranos opening. "Woke up this morning, got yourself a gun…"

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Probably not…
Lie in the snow and count to sixty!!
Merry Christmas, suckers!!

Interesting little touch of characterisation: some of the collectable paintings you find were painted by Deliah, not Sokolov. I wonder if the reboot has something to do with Lara's death being way less satisfying? (The death animations in the reboot were goddamn horrifying.)

How is it that Killer7 had a more sane and logical take on an American President Election than 2016 did?

And what about the first bisexual female president?

I thought Lisa Simpson was a switch-hitter?

Robert Rath wrote a piece for his old Critical Intel column that argued that the non-lethal play style was made deliberately less fun than killing, because it's basically a test of character. Are you willing to preserve your morality, even if it BORES you? Clever, considering it makes the IC temptation meta.

"Finally, 24 years of trying to kill a 10-year-old boy has paid off!"

The Sunset Sasparillia factory and its quest is pretty neat, too.
