I lived in Orlando off and on from mid-2003 to mid-2017 (with a 4-year stint between 2010 and 2014 in Tampa / St. Pete / Clearwater).

The Airport
Orlando International Airport (IATA Code MCO) is both lovely and a pain. All the gates are in their own mini-terminals, split off from the main building and connected by

Tampa is, in fact, a garbage city.

If you are trying to get between Disney and Universal, take Turkey Lake Road or go through Dr. Phillips. It is so worth going around i-4 traffic.

I’ve been in and around Orlando for 11 years now.

I live in Orlando currently. First thing to know is that the Orlando metropolitan area is very large; and the city of Orlando is not that big. Disney is not even in the same county as Orlando. Kissimmee is not Orlando; nor is Lake Buena Vista.

Tampa is a dirty slum.

Disney Springs is pretty legit. Free parking too.

1. Disney is NOT in Orlando. It’s about half an hour away at least (depends on traffic). Same with UCF (out in Oveido).

sorry about your experience but orlando has some of the best food. you just have to get away from International Drive and all that touristy stuff (which any person who lives in Orlando would never go to)

I lived in Orlando for 4yrs for my first job - it’s been awhile but here are my thoughts both for tourists and for residents:

“Tiffany Haddish does not represent ‘the race’, she reps Tiffany Haddish.”

Just like a couple of Rory Calhouns…

Agreed. Fucking obnoxious....

You misspelled “Florida”.

The guy in the Mercury Mariner behind them went to trade it in immediately after

Wow, so much better on mute

How did we become the dominant species?

Inconvenient, sure. But I’m glad to see he got over it.
