I love period dramas because they are generally campy and trashy, something mindless I can zone out with. And yet, the female characters in many of these movies and shows are surprisingly well-written. Reign is straight up FICTION but I lapped it all up. Catherine de Medici was delightful in that show.

I’m a psych nurse and we have this sort of event on about a weekly basis. No fucking way this was appropriate behavior. Our hospital has a policy of “No gun? No Cops!” strictly because police are expected to use more force than hospital personnel would. Someone got tazed the last time we called the cops. Never again.
