Nobody is saying that guy is evil. They are saying he is untrained. That literally is the point of the article. Not “we have evil anti-trans doctors we need to fire” but “we have doctors doing/saying clueless and insensitive things. they need better training”.

So you are a-okay with performing pelvic exams without briefing the patient on why you are doing it? And it’s totally appropriate to complement vaginas while doing said exams?

At best you are saying he made two mistakes during the pelvic exam. 1. He failed to explain it’s relevance. 2. He complimented the patient on her vagina while she was undergoing an invasive procedure, a time when doctor should only make medically necessary remarks. A lot of male doctor’s pull in a female nurse to

UTI’s are in the urinary tract. Urine comes from the bladder and comes out the uerthra. It does not exit the vagina. It exits near the vagina, in a separate hole, but underneath the clitoris. A vaginal examine is not routine for a UTI.

For real. I remember watching that segment when it aired and being like, hmmm, that sounds pretty damn good.

In a two minute segment, Sean Hannity implied Obama was an out-of-touch elite for ordering Dijon on a hamburger. Meanwhile he shills for a man who eats pizza with a knife and fork and eats his steak well-done.

My uncle bought a boat for scuba diving and attracting ladies that scuba dive. Then complained that the ladies he was dating seemed to only care about his boat. Ummmm....yeah.

I think the key to the MPDG is that they serve as a plot device for a man’s personal growth and self discovery. They are not a main character with their own trajectory. I think you see a shade of this when geeky men think cute, geeky women aren’t authentically geeky. They exist for male gaze and need to have geeky

Ghosting, dragonfly style.

I’d say living authentically doesn’t save you from being an authentic asshole.

That’s an incredible mischaracterization of my post, along with conflating gendered experiences with social messages. I specifically called out the contrast between those raised from age 3-4 to those that transition as adults. Transgender adolescents on puberty blockers and estrogen are not magically immune to street

Everybody’s milage varies on that. Socialization is a game of catch, and a lot of transgender people subconsciously catch gender-role messages aimed at their authentic gender. Also, we are now living with transgender adolescents that have been living as their authentic gender since age 3-4. As they come of age, there

Reese’s are over the day one tries dipping a good bar of chocolate into a good jar of peanut butter. I’m never going back.

Not sure if you are being sarcastic. If so, disregard. Men are a vector for women, so reducing HPV in that population would reduce it in women as well. Also, M4M bottoms can get cancer from HPV. They really should vaccinate male/female adolescents to improve public health.

Baby steps towards the value of “personal responsibility” with these people.

I was speaking in hypotheticals about why you can’t assume perfectly correlated “all voter” and “register voter” trend lines.

Fair enough. :)

I’m not saying Gallup isn’t an important poll. The fact an increasing lopsided majority living in the US seem this POTUS sucks is significant. For anybody in social science “all adult” polls are the ones you care about. However, for political junkies in a very partisan era, “registered voters” polls are going to have

Unfortunately Gallop is an “all adults” rather than a “likely/registered voter” poll. While not great, Trump does much better in the latter polls.

These studies show one biological marker for transgenderism. That does not preclude other paths to transgenderism, but it does suggest that for the majority this condition is predominantly or completely biologically determined. Nobody in the trans movement is suggesting this become a gate-keeping biological test.
