Yeah, I can definitely see that (POC's fetishizing light eyes). My mom has a ton of stories about people being weird about her eyes. At the same time, it's not so uncommon to see brown people with light eyes. So, I guess I am just a little uncomfortable with assuming changing your eyes is definitely trying to be white

I sort of thought it would be ok since it wasn't about surgery anymore, but maybe not!

Sounds to me like it's a new dog-whistle/buzzword for the victim-blamers— "Half of all rape accusations are nothing more than an unwanted kiss on the cheek!" (Which, y'know, IS technically assault anyway because it's uninvited touching but ne'mind the technicalities a'ight.)

I think what it is is when there is basically a rape attempt, (without warning pushed girl up against the wall and stuck his tongue down her throat) but the guy stops because she yelled, kicked him, someone walked by, etc. then the only thing that actually happened was technically a kiss.

I dunno. Employees need a safe working environment; I should expect my employer would do whatever it takes so I'm not raped at my office and act accordingly when it does happen.

Yeah, I was also young when I first picked it up. I remember wanting a prehensile tail so badly.

Geek Love was great! It had that outlandish plot but never got overly gimmicky; it was touching and funny and her brother was SUCH a dick.

/long rant

A male friend was a victim of domestic abuse. A female friend was a victim of domestic abuse. They did not have the same experiences getting help, etc because of gender roles, homophobia, sexism, etc. There is a place and need in society for general and specific help.

If MRAs really cared about Mens Rights,

I think being in charge of her own choice to consent or not will serve her well throughout her life. She won't be afraid to say no when she means no because her mother didn't make her become a people pleaser and do things she didn't want to do.

But this child isn't being denied touch. She's being given the right to say that, at that particular moment, she doesn't want to be touched.

Not at all related to children, but I recently got a dog, and I've had several not so pleasant interactions when people reach down to pet my dog without asking. She's only a year old and has had barely any training (she's a rescue), and she's about 40 pounds and jumps on people when she's excited. She loves people so

It's always strange to me that people always tend to want to touch two things: dogs and children. And not just touch, but pick them up, put them on our laps, hug them, squeeze them, tickle them, kiss them, rub their hands and feet. None of this is done with the permission of the child/animal. (The animal, some people

Ah, what a lovely society we live in where not touching people you don't want to touch makes you socially inept. No rape culture here people, nothing to see here.

That's....actually 20 times more sane than I thought it would be. She didn't do it as a publicity stunt as she left when the media arrived. She just....really....didn't want to go home. Awwwwwww. Well, here's hoping that her impending health crisis is able to take her mind off of her boyfriend.

I have a favorite picture of Anthony Weiner!

I'm glad!

I love how completely he seduces her in under a minute. Like, "Mike, buddy, I could fuck your girlfriend if I wanted to. I could fuck all the girlfriends."

A waiter at Pizza Hut once said, in my father's hearing, that we "should go back to India." (We're of Egyptian background.) I was very young at the time so I don't really remember it, but pretty sure that guy's ass got canned. Too bad the same thing didn't happen to the sucky coworkers.

i wanna flip like 500 tables about that last one. WOW THO.

I was watching the first report of this on 3 news. They were sure to mention that she wasn't a virgin at the time of her rape. Because as we all know, if she wasn't a virgin she was asking for it, right?
