The February Gawker article was the first time I'd seen the allegations. I'm definitely not one to put celebrities on a pedestal but I will say learning about Cosby was hard. It's so easy to like his Huxtable persona. When I was growing up, the dads on TV were not like the dads IRL- it was nice to see a caring,

It's so interesting that the Olds didn't think this was enough of an issue to talk about with their children.

"Children"

Just barely! Quite a hollow victory.

Maybe we're defining "millenial" differently. I'm 32 (born in '82) and watched the Cosby show both live and in syndication. But I get called a "millenial" all the time, so I've finally decided to embrace it.

My theory, in part, is that a lot of millenials grew up never hearing the allegations. We watched the Cosby Show and the pudding pop and Jello commercials, and bought into the image that Cosby projected. Maybe now that the story is gaining more traction, millenials who have been raised (I think and hope?) to view rape

My mother is trying to turn this into an ordeal for me. I bought an awesome, beautiful dress (on sale for $230!!) and she is freaking out that it's "not glamorous enough! It's too plain!" (she hasn't seen the dress yet). Why does this have to be such a fucking ordeal? Like, I bought a dress, it looks nice, now let's

I am being Polly Pedant today but Jesus Christ what is this:

Wow, this is a very powerful observation. Thanks for the great perspective.

ME TOO! I was actually allowed to take my little cousin to see it. I felt so grown up.

As my uncle says, pissing is legal and kissing isn't.

Eh, though I'm not a fan of bad acting, I am somehow a Meagan Good fan. So I will watch this.

But THIS particular Congress...?

But you can't wash the inside!!! It's CRAZY. You can't fit your hand in there to scrub with a sponge- you have to use a brush. Also, the lid is dishwasher safe, but the canteen is not?! What the everloving hell?!

Not to fixate on the wrong thing, but... "we itch ourselves"... no, we don't. We scratch ourselves!!

I know, and I even find myself appreciating the aesthetic- definitely what's uncommon can be very attractive but I try to remind myself why I think my nephew's blue eyes are so adorable. It's because it indicates someone in his immediate family is white. Just stuff we internalize, I guess.

So abrupt!

Sure, I'm fine with that. It's all the other stuff...

Neil, I know you're a better writer than that!

In my (Indian) family, we have some unusual eye colors (green, blue, tiger-yellow, even) and this trait was absolutely fetishized, I believe, because this is an eye color that is common among white folks. It is sad since the majority of Indians definitely have brown eyes.
