THIS. I’ve never understood why these people are so passionate about restricting/banning abortion, but couldn’t care less for children once they’re, you know, ACTUALLY children and need care. 

Nope that’s not how being an individual in a society works. Good luck on your libertarian adventures though. Not being mean but there are parents who don’t provide security, emotional support, or even food. School is literally there to try and ensure we have well rounded citizens.

Schools are for so much more than just simply learning academic principles. What you should be asking is why is a school administrator trampling on some kid’s right to privacy? 

If schools are just for academic learning, why would any of these gender issues matter? How does it matter at all whether I, as the teacher, call your child Jake or Amy as long as they understand the math?
