As long as its kosher plastic there is no problem, the membrane is almost like an osmosis film ( 12 nanometers thick )... very breathable and manufactured in Israel, 12x6 bag will fold into a small pocket and is cleared for onboard luggage by the Mossad security force for all El Al flights.

I would not worry too much ... bed bugs on international flights only infiltrate business class reclining beds ... part of the advantage of only being able to afford economy class on BA .... “you get what you pay for on BA” ..
