So, today is the fourth day of Woot’s ONE day sale on hammocks. And Best Buy was sold out of Labo kits before yesterday’s post even went live.

Dr. Yuko, thanks for sharing this. I’ve shared it among my circle of friends, and hopefully they and others will find it helpful. I’ve been recommending another, commercial, anxiety workbook but deliveries of those are delayed, since they’re non-essential items -- though I’d quibble with that designation just now.

Mail order still works. Get it?

Rachel and I both live in Texas. Maybe she’s lucky enough to have actual representation, but I sure as hell don’t. I’d be surprised if my Congresscritter even bothered to have anyone answer the phone.

The number belongs to Resistbot, which has been reliable and trustworthy. You can google them if you want to know more.

The Postal Service wouldn’t need to be on life support if Republican congressfolk could have kept their hands off of it. However, in 2006, Congress passed the Postal Accountability and Enhancement Act (PAEA), which required USPS to pre-fund their employees’ post-retirement healthcare costs for 75 years. No other

Ordinarily I would assume these are rhetorical questions, but just in case:

You call your parents “Papa Roark” and “Mama Roark”? I’m upping my estimate into 1,000,000 times more likely.

Great idea! These days, when everyone is just rolling in spare cash, drop almost three grand (calculated on a family of 4) to keep your kids busy for a night. What fun!

I’m a baker, my husband is the cook. It’s been a good partnership for decades, but now he’s decided he needs to become The Best Breadmaker in the Land. It’s a little annoying but offset by fresh bread, so I’m okay with it.

That’s always been true, though. (My husband is a retired 688 sailor.) This is an Army guy, so, in theory, there’s no barrier to getting information to the folks.

Before you go out, you might want to work on reading comprehension. You’re sorely lacking in that. Or you’re an asshole. Maybe both. Probably both.

JOs are still forcing their platoons and companies to PT together.

My parents are in their 80s and happily told us about the restricted hours for seniors/compromised (my husband is being treated for cancer) and how “safe” they would be, so we should totally use them too. I told them that sounded like shooting fish in a barrel, having all those extra-vulnerable people in one place.

Good point. That was excellent advice. Keeping people out of hospitals with avoidable illnesses can only help the workload there -- and, bonus, keeps you from getting sick in the first place. That’s a win by any definition.

Ya know what else won’t end soon? Pointless, redundant posts like this. I’ve read this a dozen times already.

People who name themselves after an Ayn Rand character are 1,000 times more likely to be pretentious assholes than not.

The list is already as tight as Mitch McConnell’s asshole.

They did that around the south after Katrina, as well as easing restrictions on what you could buy with SNAP. Things like ready-to-eat foods were not allowed and they allowed folks to buy stuff like rotisserie chickens because so many had no cooking facilities available.
