You can also add a cup and a half of nuts, dried fruit (why though?)
I make mine with Ghirardelli 60% Cacao chips and it’s just sweet enough.
Many years ago when I was a young and inexperienced wife, I attempted to make fudge. I followed all the directions (probably from the Better Homes & Gardens cookbook) but it just wouldn’t set. Finally, I stuck it in the freezer, figuring it would harden there. It never did, but my husband and I both snuck spoonfuls of…
Grandson has most of the names memorized, so if he can get close he will probably guess. It’s the other parts we’re hoping will encourage him to read more. His father is planning on not letting him use a card unless he can tell him what it does. We’ll see how long that lasts. :-)
I heard people of all stripes and varieties claim that once Trump was in office, the gravitas of the situation would make him straighten up and fly right.
The old tricks that our grandparents used to keep warm still work. Buy a few good-sized bricks and some flannel. Pop the bricks in the oven to warm them (I have no idea how long, sorry) and then wrap them in the flannel and tuck them at the foot of your bed. Note that should have been the show DIDN’T seem like my kinda thing.
Former Borders bookseller here, too. Totally agree. I don’t like flavored coffees, generally, but this one brings back fond memories.
Yeah, we get most of our junk food from TJs. I was, in fact, eating some of the Minty Mallows when I saw this story.
Had a similar experience with my 2008 Kia Sportage. Can concur.
I got a 2016 Soul to replace my totaled ‘08 Kia Sportage when I was rear-ended by a guy with a bigass truck who couldn’t be bothered to stop at a red light; he took out 4 of us, I had a car between me and him. I walked away and the car wasn’t all that badly damaged, but the cost of replacing the airbags put it into…
My son, his wife, and my grandson live with my husband and me. My husband and DIL work full-time, and, now that my grandson has started school, my son is job-hunting. We’re paying college tuition too — for my husband and me, because when we were trad-aged, we couldn’t afford school. Without the contribution to…
My grandson is a beginning reader and he read his first book to me last night. We’re all readers around here, so he’s definitely motivated and has good examples all around. I told him that I thought it was really cool how, after all these years of my reading to him, now he could read to me. (I could go centuries…
I don’t think it’s all about the money, but I bet HBO wrote a check and just kept adding zeroes until they got a “yes”. None of the principals need the money, but you can do a lot of good and interesting projects when you have serious cash.
The rest of Michael Kiwanuka’s album is just as good, if not better. Frankly, it was their using his song in the opening credits that got me to watch the show. It just seem like my kinda thing.
At least it’s a harmless delusion. Can’t say that about everything in this annus horribilus.
priest confidentiality should end at felonies
What you’re thinking of is the Tarasoff rule, which
therapeutic confidentiality, if someone is a threat to someone’s life or safety, that goes out the window.
