Jumping on the suckiness of Kinja, why is that Kinja claims I haven’t published any posts? I’ve published many! Well, several, anyway.

Yeah... having commented on both kinja and at AVClub, I thought the AVclubbers were overreacting. But I was wrong. This is worse than I ever imagined. They really did kill a community. A great one, too. Probably my favorite online one.

The greys system is absolutely idiotic. I get the background behind it — trolls were posting grotesque graphics of mutilated women and things like that.

I was wondering how this would fare and yeeeesh. Although to be fair, I think it also missed a huge window of comments by not being posted at midnight Central time.

I think it´s 50% user exodus and 50% Kinja not showing comments in a timely fashion. With Disqus I would get notifications almost immmediately, with this shitshow it´s sometimes 7/8 hours before I receive a notification. On my cell phone it´s even worse. My PC shows notifications hours later, my cell phone doesn´t…

I feel really bad for Tom. It must look like his baby has shriveled and died.
