That suggests something of a reversal: Game Of Thrones isn’t just telling the rest of Martin’s story before he can finish it himself; the show is doing it better than he could.

The ladyfriend loves her some Harry Potter. She can play this while I’m catching pokémon. A win-win for both of us.

All Ranger fans felt the same way about losing Zucc.

Well, if you’re into that kind of obvious, overdone good looks, he is I guess. My move is I make others search a little harder to discern my appeal. Work for it, swine. I’m not here to spoonfeed you.

yea. when I’ve told this story people have said “just find him on the internet” as if I haven’t tried. I’m not one to message 14 people with the same name not knowing where he moved or what he’d look like after a quarter century. I’d feel like an ass, and also a stalker. maybe he doesn’t even remember me. “this weirdo

Nah dude. Hank refuses to waive his no trade clause. He wants to play his whole career as a Ranger.

If you find rugged good lucks handsome, then I guess so.

Back in the mid-90's we had a kid move to our area in New Jersey. It was middle school (and NJ) so basically everyone treated him like crap except for me. He lasted one-year at the school. At the end of the school year I got a call from him telling me he had to move again and that he “just wanted to say thank you

I don’t follow hockey so I assume I’m late to this party but judging by that picture and some others I, uh, immediately googled... Henrik Lundqvist is pretty handsome

This reminds me of when we moved out of state in the summer after my fourth grade year. It was before the current age of communication and technology had taken hold. So I had to say goodbye to my friend forever because we both knew there was no way for us to keep in touch. That’s one of the memories I can’t wait to

It’s overspending on headcount. Their burn rate eclipsed their income, and they didn’t have enough in the bank to keep the company afloat long enough to correct the situation. They tried to develop too many games at the same time, and their licenses probably put contractual obligations on delivery dates, meaning they

That would make some sense, I imagine some of those licenses are not very cheap.

Their games may have been rudimentary and derivative (of each other) in terms of gameplay, and their “branching” story structure was all illusion of choice, but man, did they tell some pretty good stories. It’s sad to see another studio claimed by “grew too big too fast.” One of the hardest things for companies to

I agree. This isn’t a criticism but in general I think Gillian Flynne’s fiction (yes, all three books, which I know is hardly a vast oeuvre) is pretty nihilistic.

I agree with your sentiments here. But I just realized how odd it was that Amma or Adora -or the maid- would have let those pliers be in the house. The cops found those way too quickly.

This piece is a fan paean, not a review of the show. If Amy Adams wasn’t the star of this tedious production, it would have been panned. The entire show about the murders of young girls in a small town turned the murders in to McGuffins - until the last ten minutes when everything suddenly everything hinges on them.

The shot of that dollhouse floor will haunt me for a long time to come.

I completely disagree for the most part, but I definitely see where you’re coming from. Hopefully you’re not ripped to shreds by people who consider it a personal affront when someone doesn’t like the things they like, because you lay out your problems here really well, even if I don't buy in, I totally understand

Of course, Camille could have taken a blue bottle and her suspicions to the police rather than allow herself to get poisoned nearly to death. But then, those would have been the actions of a sane reporter.

I completely agree. I feel like that final shot (and subsequent credit scenes) cheapened just about everything else shown before it. We wasted 7 hours to get to this? It was sloppy. I didn’t even have time to consider that the ending was actually surprising because I was just disappointed.
