@whatthewhereis: Probably not. While merges always sound simple (company A buys B, done) there's a lot of different things to take into account.

I wouldn't call this jailbroken / rooted / unlocked.

Let's start with rebuilding the damn thing from the ground up, as it's currently memory hogging and laggy trash.

@Satki: There clearly are 4 RAM slots. Two brown and two beige ones.

@Capall: That's because it's still the alpha. Notch is working on all gameplay elements first, before optimizing the engine's performance.

@Eleven: They're just like the Painterly Pack - a very popular (and customizable) texture mod.

@tetracycloide: I disagree with you there - there are changes in the chip's architecture, unlike with NVidia's rebranding. This is a refresh - a revision of the current chip - and thus it's fair to sell it under a new name as part of a new series. The 7xxx series will have a fully new architecture again.

@rathat: Minecraft references are always appropriate.
