So glad to hear I was not the only one! And exactly, it was clearly a pattern of behaviour, and we should expect (and deserve!) better of elected officials.  

I listened to Hysteria (a Crooked podcast), which is ostensibly feminist, and they were trying similar shit - basically saying his ousting happened too fast, and that because it was ~only mild harassment~ it would have been better for him to stay in the Senate....ugh.
