Don’t treat interactions with service people like its a comedy routine. Just interact with them in a polite direct way, and don’t be an asshole about it. 

“Yes, they should refrain from overly used jokes. Even if it’s a tired joke, isn’t it better than dealing with dead people who just interact with service persons as if they are owed that service?”

The base of Michelle’s cake reminded me of some old 1920s art prints my Dad has. They’re of tropical scenes and all in the sort of abstract pastel colors like that. 

I find him cute. I don’t think he’ll make it to the end, but he’s cute.

I get Rosie. I’m a research scientist and my job involves a lot of gross things. We have some of those same syringes and I could list a lot of nasty science facts. When people ask me things I usually try to clarify whether they really want to know, because the answer is unusually nasty, so I admire Rosie just laying…

I don’t even get any sort of TV rationale for saving Priya. She doesn’t have an especially engaging personality, has been in the bottom or middle, and she’s okay looking but not Ruby level gorgeous.

Unless there is some kind of extreme disaster I can’t see anyone but Steph being the winner. 

Me too! There is a specific person that Michelle reminds me of, but I can not figure out who it is. 

Too much of a floral in a dessert can be nasty, but Priya destroyed her custard! It was a solid boiled mass! I’m terrible at custard and I could tell just by looking at it that it was horribly baked.

Henry went from adorable child to awkward puberty this week , with the patchy attempt at stubble and the cracking voice. 

Rosie reminds me of Ian from way back. He was relatively quiet and consistent, and then out of the blue reveals that he routinely eats roadkill. 

I’m just so glad he wasn’t the one who had to announce the elimination this week. It would have been beyond sad, and I would 100% have cried. 

We literally had a list of things we were required to say no matter what. The interaction was 100% fake. 

You don’t have to sit there waiting if something is wrong, flag your server down.

I love European service. I hate the fake act that we force servers to put on here. I used to be a cashier in high school, and I hated having to do the inane “I’m your new BFF!” chatter instead of just doing my job efficiently.

I just like them in general.

I love middle ages meat pies. I know some people don’t like sweet/savory but I really enjoy the meat/spice/fruit combo that you find in those types of recipes.

When they were doing the bit about them running away together to get married on Halloween part of me kind of hoped that would really happen. I’m sure their spouses are very nice people, but that was adorable. 

I find gulab jamun sickeningly sugary. They’re just far too one note sugar soaked sweet for me.
