SPOILERS AHOY

Crankypants, my best friend died in September of the same year. I've still got some kind of stupid movies request or something from him on Facebook. It's dumb, but I can't bring myself to delete it because if I do, it's like there's nothing left of him.

See if you can work on giving a shit.

I'll stand by Kevin James as a solid stand-up with a gift for physical comedy. Filmmakers just don't know what to do with physical comedians anymore.

That's what I watch Community for.

I want to say that Louis said something in the AV Club interview about there doing 12 episodes. I wouldn't expect a renewal decision until the season is over.

Cunts?

They could make up for it by giving us pictures of the three of them together.

Mrs. Dalloway as a comically mismatched buddy cop movie.

Maybe he'll appear as a
ROBOCORPSE!

SPOILERS ABOUND

I'm not a fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar's work overall, but she frequently surprised me in Buffy. With the appropriate writing and direction, girl can seriously act.

I don't think the jasmine bit is really foreshadowing. If I remember right, Angel, Dru and Spike had Jasmine at their hangout in S2. They just like it because it's sort of a vampire metaphor, blooming at night and all.

"Has everybody here slept with each other?"

I just went through all of Buffy again, and I basically cried all the way through The Body.

My mother's primary criterion for whether a movie is good is if it has happy ending. We have agreed to disagree on matters of culture.

The animated version of Dane Cook's stand-up?

In the interview Nabin did with Louis C.K., Louis said the show costs $300,000 per episode to make and that FX is working with something like a $10 million budget. Such a low cost for even moderate returns will keep the show on the air as long as Louis wants to do it. Just look at Archer and early It's Always Sunny.

I just rewatched both of last night's episodes and the tone seemed pretty steady to me. The subject matter changes a lot, due to the nature of cutting vignettes with stand-up and the loose format of the show, but the tone is consistent.

This makes the summer doldrums so, so much better.
