That sounds like someone attempting to pick your battles for you. I would have had a hard time with that too.

Totally agree. I also hope that should he prove guilty, and I tend to believe this lady but I am bit teh judge or jury,he is removed quickly. Cosby tactic taught to many scumbags. TheOneWhoLikedAmberRoseTooMuch’s comment about New Dehli and local sources make me think this gu is sketchy as hell and possibly got off

I would say there’s definitely a similarity to the Forsyte Saga in terms of the scope, as far as both time covered and number of characters. I love that this New Inquiry piece described the series as an epic, which I think is completely accurate.

You type truth.

Like it or not, removing an elected official from office or preventing them from taking elected office based on an accusation and not an investigation (though I think the intent is to obviously spark an investigation) is a seriously dangerous road to travel.

That is so sweet.  I’m back at work after being quite sick and this was a nice pick me up for my morning. Thanks for sharing :)

Politics - like the clergy, teaching, the police etc - tends to attract the absolute best of humanity and also the absolute worst.

Stop trying so hard.
Alot of great people live here, Cora Faith Walker and Bruce Franks Jr. included.

Hey wow thanks for the sweeping generalization, that’s helpful

Counterpoint: Cora Faith Walker lives there and has some serious guts.

Thank you for the positive story in the midst of all the ick!

In elementary school, my hamster died and I was crying about it. (1st grade yo). I went to the principals office for what I think was just going to be a quick pep talk. He mentioned that I really reminded him of his daughter. I spent the whole day with him, going around doing principal things- it was a blast. It

If she wasn’t there what’s the point in talking about her fuckability? It only establishes dominance if she is there.

That thing is more hypnotic than the HypnoToad. Can’t look away.

You know, this reminds me of something that happened at a doctor’s appointment a few weeks ago. He said I really remind him of his daughter, which I thought was kind of odd, since it was the first time I’d gone to him. But in retrospect, I’m feeling pretty flattered- she’s a Harvard grad with a micro financing startup

I can’t speak to the non-Neapolitan novels as I haven’t read them yet (although I’d be shocked if they’re bad), but the Neapolitan novels are excellent. Don’t let the terrible Europa covers (almost as much of an insult to her as this doxxing if you ask me) dissuade you.

it’s weird reading criticism of this happening on a Gawker (former Gawker?) site... a media group that took quite a bit of pride in outing either anonymous individuals also doing nothing illegal or even outing someone’s sexual preferences.

When your name (or pen name ) is on millions of book jackets, complete anonymity becomes an illusion. There is a huge difference between paparazzi entering your private zone by climbing over fences and hiding behind bushes or people getting to know your real name.

For those who are disagreeing with this opinion, do you avoid celebrity gossip, which is built around ignoring the right to privacy? Did you not go to Gawker, which explicitly believed public figures’ lives should be open to the public? I wouldn’t have exposed Ferrante, but her secret was never going to stay hidden.

This is going to be an incredibly unpopular opinion, I’m sure, but the simple fact is when you reach a certain level of success in certain fields your right to declare “I don’t want attention” becomes nil.
