Right, this was when I was naive enough to not realize just how scripted the show really was. Looking back I view it differently, of course.

I just remember watching this as a college freshman and being HORRIFIED by two things:

1. Heidi’s interview look.
2. The gang crashing Lauren’s work gig, her acquiescing, and somehow not getting fired for it.

And that’s all I remember from the first season.

I just want to interject that I don’t understand why Kristin Davis was only nominated once for SATC. That is all.

Seriously! I’m 5'1" and even at 115lbs I’ve got plenty of flab all over and a constant food baby belly. One of the actresses who criticized Kim’s weight is, like, 5'8". 119lbs at that height is WAY different than 119lbs at 5'2". Sheesh!

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again: let’s be best friends?!

Hi, can we be best friends?

That is a perfect metaphor for her.

Right?! It is no where to be found and I am devastated every time I remember that I probably can’t watch it ever again.

I love that movie so much!

Me and my ex to a tee. When we finally broke up and I totally moved out, I ended up having a panic attack in the grocery store because I hadn’t gone food shopping by myself during the entire relationship and couldn’t remember what I liked to eat on my own. Just one of many fun examples!

I was just about to say the same thing!

I was going to make a comment along these lines. I know of at least two men (one in an entry-level and one in a managerial position) who had to be reported multiple times for multiple incidents by multiple female colleagues before any kind of repercussion took place. Even then, the repercussions were slaps on the

Half of them did exactly that on New Girl!

Ex. Act. Ly.

Every time I watch that scene I practically scream, “I WANT IT THOUGH. GIVE ME THE BEAUTIFUL STEAK.”

Seriously, she would NEVER say thank you, especially not so publicly. I think that’s what’s most bothersome about this scene.

I get what they were trying to do with this, but yeah the execution is shit. Creating more plausibility for why Andy was chosen over Emily and adding more into Miranda’s crumbling marriage (hello fragile male ego!) is good in theory but this scene just sucks and betrays the characters (especially Miranda, my goodness).

The ridiculous thing was, the person who was the most vocal about it is just a casual listener who didn’t even know the name of her other song they kept referencing as proof of their theory. And like, I actually am a fan! Or, was, at least. I want wait until the whole album comes out before I make a final decision,

Oh man, I don’t even want to see. Her ticket sales scheme skeeves me out.

You’d be surprised. I was in a thread last night (on the Jez post about the song being released) in which multiple were like, “OBVIOUSLY this is a sarcastic song, y’all.” I’m just glad I’m not the only one who sees the self-ascribed victimhood.
