Too many of these replies are based on the assumption of good or neutral intentions. There are two things I find particularly telling about Schutz’s painting based on Emmett Till’s photos.

Neither Clinton nor Obama were perfect, and neither would Hillary. But painting them as boogie men (and woman) you want them to be is historically inaccurate and intellectually dishonest .

Right. I’m glad she was fired, but I think she should’ve been arrested and charged with harassment, and potentially a hate crime.

The vast majority of America is willing to pay that price to sustain white supremacy. If they can constantly vote against their economic interests out of racial animosity, then they have no problem with paying for the state’s brutalization, dehumanization and murders of us.
