OMG, thank you. This image is giving me prickles up and down my spine. I can deal with honeycombs and the like but when the holes are on a body, I freak the fuck out.

Rihanna was in a lengthy relationship with Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel which reportedly ended early this year,
Yeah, a lot of these so-called Christians are really more into Old Testament God with the smiting and suffering. I feel like they should really rename themselves because their branding is way off. Jesus (you know, the “Christ” part of “Christian”) hung out with outcasts, sinners, etc. and told them they were worthy of…
I’m not saying that hating on someone’s pain is cool, but you can kind of see where it’s coming from.
Unh unh. Someone under the age of 30 might be a father, but they aren’t Daddy. And definitely not Zaddy.
And that these programs should be available to underserved people who are not in prison.
Exactly this. Dance teams and child pageants are huge in this country. So, it’s OK to sexualize children, just not to make a film about it?
How can we forget Reagan using John Mellancamp’s “Pink Houses”? I was a pre-teen and I still knew that song did not paint America in a good light.
When it reopened the following March, costumers new and old...
You know those women aren’t carrying a checkbook to the fundraiser in their Judith Leiber mini audieres. The charity would follow up with the bidders (more likely, the bidders’ assistant or accountant) to settle the account and arrange details.
It’s definitely an interesting question. Certainly, they will be viewed with mistrust, and for good reason. But it does pose the question: Can ethnic studies be researched effectively by those who aren’t of that ethnicity? I would hope that they can, if the researcher is willing to examine their motives and biases…
Academics don’t really question each other on their credentials after a certain point. It really only took her convincing a few people early in her career. Once she gave a few good talks and published a few good papers, she started gaining steam in her career. At that point, it would have been rude to question her…
I can guarantee you that if she were faculty on my campus, I’d be pushing hard for her to be fired. Academic and grant-related fraud is taken very seriously. (Much more seriously than harassment or discrimination, but that’s another story.)
I work in higher ed HR. I love to point to shit like this when the faculty says, “We can’t possibly do background checks on people! How insulting! We know who faculty in our field are.”
Apparently, they don’t.
We have to come to terms with the fact that our heroes (historical and modern day) are people. People have flaws. People can be inspirational and awful at the same time. We’d all be a lot better off if we learned to embrace that.
Not getting a boner isn’t a life threatening condition either, Ted, but I don’t see you running around trying to ban Viagra.
Can we stop body shaming Anderson Cooper? He had a semi-nude photo published by a ‘friend’ without his consent and y’all are like “Ewwwww...he’s too pale! Uncooked chicken!!” First, what a violation of trust. Second, if Anderson had bad acne or scars, would you get grossed out by that too? Stop commenting on peoples’…
I call it “potato chips for the brain”. It’s not filling or good for you, but it’s tasty and comforting.
You neglected to mention that “Burn Notice” gave us a necessary weekly TV helping of the genius that is Bruce Campbell, which I missed since the demise of “Xena” and “Jack of All Trades”.
If Fox was willing to look the other way when a powerful employee commits blatant sexual harassment, imagine what they will do to the HR employee who pressures them to discipline him. If you think proving termination due to harassment is difficult, try proving you were fired for being a whistleblower.
