My point is that corporate leadership should be the ones figuring out how to deal with this instead of leaving any front-line employees to step up when they shouldn’t have to. If that means having an extra security guard or loss prevention officer on every shift to act as the Mask Police, they should suck up the cost

Yeah, between the two of them, they are paying less for the fine than they did in the actual crime? WTF? They should be forced to set up at least a $2 million scholarship fund for students of color whose Mommies and Daddies don’t have the money to buy their way into college

Neither is the store manager, really; no one signed up to be the Mask Police, especially when it could get you assaulted. Corporate leadership should put a “how to deal with a non-mask wearer” protocol in place that does not involve putting workers in jeopardy. I’m not quite sure how to do that, with all the asshats

I fully and completely support anyone addressing racism and discrimination in the workplace. These issues should have been addressed and corrected by the upper management. It is reprehensible that they were not.

I consistently see the “...and HR did nothing!” issue. HR can only do something if top management lets

So much commonality in violence against women and violence against protestors:

“You should believe me when I tell you I’m a nice guy and won’t hurt you.” = “You should believe me when I tell you I’m a cop and won’t hurt you.”

A) I don’t know you. You could be anyone.
B) Never trust anyone who says “Trust me; it’s OK.”

OMG. That was Frances McDormand! I’m as bad as the writers of this article!

But that’s how good Frances was...she was the role.

Check out Holly Hunter in “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”. The movie has some problematic themes, but Hunter’s performance is sublime.

I love that movie. Every time I park next to a van, I have to quote, “Don’t park next to vans!”

For a split second, I thought is was fairness as in “equal portions”, rather than fairness of skin tone. There’s some irony in that name -- the fairer you are the more portions you get.

Back in the pre-marriage equality days, I remember hearing that sometimes one partner in a gay couple would adopt the other in order to provide benefits of family relationships -- insurance, hospital visitation, retirement, etc.

Yeah, I immediately called bullshit on that one too. Maybe you could say that in 2005, but not these days, dollface.

According to a very cursory Google search, Mr. Guccione started and ran Gear magazine from 1998-2003 and is the Current Founder/Editor-In-Chief of luxury travel site WONDERLUST.

Universal Standard has done this with some of their products. It’s really informative to see the product on someone who looks like you.

Minnesota and Vermont move to classify grocery store employees—cash register workers, warehouse stockers, delivery drivers—as “emergency employees.”

It’s bullshit, but completely legal:

Soaps did have some true vets on them. Ruth Warrick, who played Phoebe Tyler Wallingford for years on “All My Children” was in “Citizen Kane”. James Mitchell, Palmer Cortlandt on AMC was Dream Curly in “Oklahoma!” and was a favorite dancer of Agnes de Mille.

I watched AMC for over 35 years. I still miss checking in on

You can knowingly transmit herpes by not disclosing to a potential partner you have it. It’s (surprise!) a consent issue. If a person has any STI, they need to disclose that to any and all partners so the partners can give proper consent. If 2 or more people, knowing that they could contract an STI from the other

Trump knows absolutely nothing and believes he is immune.

On the network side, is cleaving to its dwindling relevancy with a new Gina Torres led vampire drama.”

I feel like there’s a word missing here. Who is cleaving to dwindling relevancy?

If you don’t want to spend your money on black-owned business products, just buy some Tampax or any other menstrual product owned by a multi-national conglomerate and STFU, Karen. I’m sure the CEO of Proctor & Gamble is all about empowering little white girls, so you can feel safe.
