More stars. MORE STARS!

Also - they are literally blaming the victims (and Kirkman) for their own failures here. That’s the point of this article.

EXACTLY. What they fail to acknowledge is that they have no credibility due not only to their own habits of cherry-picking and misrepresentation of facts (and general lazy habit of half-reading posts on other blogs and posting links with a couple terribly written paragraphs and posting it as a story), but also because

Nailed it

Couldn’t have said it any better.

Exactly this. Commenting to bump.

Here here.

This. THIS.

No offense, but if I was a victim of sexual harassment (or pretty much anything else), I would be much more likely to go on record with a 166 year old print newspaper journalist than I would a website journalist. Especially if it meant that fucking it up could mean the end of my career or libel lawsuits.

I guess I don’t get how you can play the “we’re doing real journalism” card when the NY Times busted the story wide-open with 5 sources in what, a few weeks since the Weinstein stuff broke? And you’ve supposedly had it for years?

This was the moment we told her she cost $3500 and asked how will she be paying.

I was pretty turned off at how much of a jerk you were to Aledandria. I get being a jerk as a kid, to a point, but continuing to pick on her about acne and stuff is gross.

My sort of cousin (texas, it’s complicated) lost his leg in a motorcycle accident, and my family seemed legitimately surprised that it didn’t change him as a person. Other than having a prosthetic, he’s still the same giant douche nozzle he always was.

Reading your piece reminds me of how uncomfortable I get with “inspiration” stories about people with disabilities. They follow a pattern of something bad happening to someone and they overcome it. It seems to flatten the person out making them feel less real and flawless. They don’t feel like people instead they

Obligatory:

Well that’s a fresh take on “he had such a promising future”

..........Ah, no.

Don’t fall for that rope-a-dope bullshit. I grew up in the middle of a red state. There is nothing magical or noble about these fucking ignorant bigots. They’re dumb and mean. They have every opportunity to learn, it’s just that stupidity of that sort has become their tribal identity.

This is heartbreaking. I met her a couple of years ago in Vegas and she was a genuinely nice and very intelligent woman.

I'm adopted, and just curious...is the Jolie Pitt crack supposed to be funny, or demeaning to adoptive families in general? Because FYI: we don't have a higher statistical probability of imploding any moreso than your average biologically related families (Psst..who also can be dysfunctional - Gasp! - Who knew??!!)
