May 12, 2015. I was back home for summer break from college. I had picked up a summer job working for a friend.

Basically. As soon as I processed what it was, I said, “Sh”. I hit the bird before I could complete the word.

I hit a pelican while riding over an unlit bridge. I thought it was an insect too... that grew and grew and BAM!
