Buy it and convert it to something that has Fuel injection, Motorcycle, Miata, Toyota, something should be able to yield an inline 4 and manual transmission. Clean up the rest and drive it. NP

Seems like an easy NP.
I couldn’t scroll down and NP this fast enough. Take my money.
For $4k, this is a solid roller to start off a build if you don’t want to deal with the carbs or the low power output. Anyone who does want to leave this as-is and fix it will probably want to figure out how to do that work themselves (if they don’t know already). NP either way.
So it’s basically just a regular hybrid - only designed to increase performance, not efficiency.
This went from one of the most irrelevant cars to the most interesting that I would actually consider
Teal! Teal needs to make a comeback. Also having more real colour options that are not shades of black, grey or white would be nice.
So help me out here. If the rotary is generating electricity for the batteries, wouldn’t the range only be limited by the on-board fuel (gas) tank size? Or does the rotary not produce enough charge to keep the batteries from draining completely anyway?
I would suggest taking things a step further and saying that the heavier the vehicle, the smaller the federal rebate- With a weight target that keeps going down, kinda like the way we do MPG requirements now- set it to a 6,000 pound limit to be able to qualify for anything and a 3,000 pound limit for the maximum…
Leave it to GM, they are the industry leader in idiotic ideas.
They don’t care, half of them are suicidal and half are homicidal, they’re part of the YOLO club where they think the chances of them dying young is so high that they would rather increase the chances themselves even more.
As an optimist, I have to point out that it could have been worse. It could’ve been a slideshow.
My first thought was it looks like a deflating Volt. Especially from the rear.
The worst thing will be the outward view from the rear seats. Expect half the door to be masked off because of the CHR parts bin rear door handle.
Admittedly, the Prettiest Prius ever is a very low bar, but yeah, I actually dig the looks of this thing.
It looks like a Gen 2 Volt with worse outward visibility.
Came here to say it look like a Jetta/Passat.
too bad they stopped the EV3 development
Um...I don’t think gas stations are going to disappear in 12 years. Are you serious?
