No word on the PHEV version yet it seems. The CX-50 with the RAV4 PHEV powertrain is going to be a very intriguing option; especially if it keeps the 40 mile EV range.

I’m excited for the hybrid model, especially if it pulls the powertrain from the RAV-4 Prime. Take the engine out of Toyota’s second-fastest model, massaged by Mazda in a vaguely wagon-ish body? Sold!

I can imagine this thing flying off the dealership lots faster than anyone can put a reservation down at MSRP (in the current market). The price is well within the range people are currently paying for cars, looks way nicer, and Mazda’s recent interior quality has been awesome.
