That was my takeaway too, after hearing the wife I was on the porch pirate’s side. No mercy is a great holiday mantra to teach your young, impressionable daughter.

The report that the poor lady died after being ejected from the car is also a timely reminder to everyone else that, seriously, always belt up no matter how short the trip.

If they police had broken off pursuit immediately, it’s highly likely this suspect would have still caused deaths of others.

A precedent of aggressive behavior towards the cops or public leading to no repercussions just reinforces the dangerous behavior.

The police chief refused to comment on whether the collision with a police officer was a proper cause to initiate the pursuit until the investigation was completed.

It’s up to them, of course. Nonetheless, I think if they got shitcanned by an asshole boss two years ago, they’ve got different (and hopefully much better) jobs by now. And in today’s tight trucking market, I’m sure an experienced trucker with a clean record can have his pick of the best companies to drive for today.

You don’t get it do you?  People have the right to be treated with dignity, especially when confronted by government representatives.  Police should be held to a much higher standard than thugs, which is what these “officers” appeared to be.

This stuff is getting worse. I mean Jalopnik has always played fast and loose with the concept of editing, but it’s getting eye-opening at this point.

But even that didn’t help as a lot of constants weren’t old enough to rent a car, or the money that was given wasn’t enough. One constant ended up pocketing what was left and figured the rest out.

The addition of Atmos to this is 100% Useless for nearly every single user.
