Not that hard. It will become second nature after a few minutes to a few hours of driving depending on your experience level. The pattern is the same, but you’re on the other side of the shifter, so 1st is farther from you and top gear is closer, which will be odd at first but that goes away quickly.

Hmmm.... one thing that will be brought up is that she left. The problem with that argument is that she died soon after she left. Problem is people would be less likely to buy a first class ticket in the first place if they know there’s a good chance they’ll be able to get it much cheaper once on the plane. 

Would you go to a concert, purchase a lawn seat and expect to be able to move to a front row seat just because it’s empty? Same for a sorting event. Why is common sense so sparse these days?
