When the W12 (not a true W12, it had three banks of four cylinders) was finally put into the newly-christened Life L190, popular estimates had it making around 375 horsepower. And sure, that sounds a bit low, but remember, in the early 1990s, F1 engines weren't producing that much power.
You are absolutely right, the engine pictured has nothing to do with the so-called "W" engine from VW Group, which is actually two narrow-V6 engines (each with a single head for both cylinder banks) put together with a common crankshaft.
It's not a "smaller Golf". It's "the exact dimensions of the Polo".
The 4.4 not so much. I have seen a couple of main bearing rods gone AWOL. Otherwise yes.
"Warranty Direct also studied the cost of engine repairs. A Range Rover Vogue with an engine failure recently led to the insurer's highest claim ever: £12,998.46 (US $20,642), while a dealer quoted £14,853.60 (US$23,588) to repair a destroyed engine on a Range Rover Sport."

I had this rare opportunity to visit the Gaydon factory and test drive the whole range of Aston Martin cars (apart from One-77 which was only available for static display). Aston Martin wanted me to do it that much, they've flown me business-class (since I was the only passenger in this part of the plane I got drunk…
This just reminded me when I once test drove an Aston Martin DBS on the high-speed oval in Millbrook Proving Grounds. I was asked by the instructor to take hands off the steering wheel while doing about 130 mph. I knew what was about to happen, so I obliged happily and asked if we can do something else while on the…
From now on, every day we will have about 100 amateur videos of 2015 Mustangs doing burnouts. This will render all burnouts boring.
The 2015 Volkswagen Jetta is the New York debut that sums up the issue the best. Compare the 2015 Jetta to the 2014. Really, there are new options, new trim inside and out and a new diesel engine. But compare it to the car that was launched back in 2011 and there's quite a lot new. That's because the 2014 Jetta…
This made me look for used M3's (in Europe) immediately.
Was there any marshall to demand their windows to be closed, or were their limbs considered superfluous?
They were better off with the LR Forward Control.
There's no impact. This video sucks.
Oh, the front left tyre will be recyclable.
He lifted.
Indeed. Just double-checked this one, the US market only got 325xi wagon, in Europe we got the 3-litre version in addition to the sedan.
I don't think this is an issue in E46 (non-direct injection). The E90 might be prone to injector failure with direct injection, however. The 330xi was indeed sold stateside (as well as 325xi).
