I thought I was going to start seeing blood shooting out from my computer from heads exploding. “SHE’S NOT COUNTRY!!!” “SHE DOESN’T BELONG HERE!!!” What is that about? Isn’t that what those same people basically say about everyone that doesn’t live on their block?

Everyone in the audience is seriously feeling this...except for Kenney Chesney. Anyone catch that? Dead still. Dead serious. Staring it down.

Thank you. Vanity sizing means that today’s size 14 is a 1975's size 10 and 1955's size 8 as most American retailers vanity size up at least one size but frequently two. So, really if size 14 is the “average” size, then volume-wise we’re the same size as we were 35 years ago. It’s confusing, but the general point is

Yes, and I really hope it blows away the box office so all those boring ass studio heads cranking out Marvel comic movies and remakes of reboots will scratch their heads while saying, “Gosh, we just don’t understand how this did so well.”

That’s because it’s being helmed by a creative, zero fucks-to-give, strong ass woman who is only worried about making a great film. By the way, Ava’s twitter is my “inspirational thought of the day” favorite twitter. She rocks.

Because retailers sell a much higher volume of misses’ sizes than plus sizes. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s because the selection sucks. Maybe it’s because the fit is off. Maybe plus-sized women don’t shop with the same frequency. Maybe a little bit of everything. But plus sized designing is much trickier than misses’

I learned about Margo Price recently on Anthony Bourdain’s show. He did that travel show in Nashville and featured her because Jack White signed her to Third Man after every country label turned her down. Wayne Hancock was a Spotify suggestion. He’s a twangy Hank Williams-like balladeer.

Well, I’ve worked out at the Chicago ones a lot—I’m from there and visit often—and found them to be not quite on the same level as NYC. I know that sounds snobby, but NYC fitness is AGGRESSIVE! lol. They also aren’t busy enough at the Chicago locations to support the volume and variety of classes the NYC locations

Absolutely. The only current country I like is Chris Stapleton, Dixie Chicks, Wayne Hancock and Margo Price. Hancock and Price both have shows coming up in NYC that I hope to get to. Yes, most recent Nashville country is crap.

Do you pay less for the XS than the plus sizes? Because it sounds like you do. Hence, the XS is less expensive. There’s no need to discount. Regular misses sizes are the baseline and the plus sizes are priced up to accommodate the premium cost in manufacturing them. It doesn’t matter how much you order. It only

Oh, I get it! You’re implying that good music and country music aren’t compatible! So funny!

What city are you in? I live in NYC and have been so disappointed in most specialized studio after being an Equinox member for years. It was worth the $225 a month just for their amazing classes alone.

I pay 18-25 per class when I take classes, so 10 per class is a pretty good deal.

It costs a good deal more to make plus sizes. Not only the extra fabric, but the loss of economies of scale from not needing to cut or sew nearly as many.

Me, too, which is why I commented. Well, mostly old country. The Dixie Chicks’ massive fan base is so much bigger than country and that’s probably what CMT is going for.

A lot of country are rednecks, but a lot of them aren’t and just love really good music. Certainly the industry and the attendees will love this. Don’t forget, they’re about to have a trans actor on Nashville on the Country Music TV channel. Minds blown!

OH my God, I LOVE this. I saw them at MSG this summer and they effin’ killed at their show and Daddy Lessons was a highlight. They’re all badass women, fellow Texans and HRC supporters, so this is pretty freakin’ great. Also, establishment country music has been working hard to get new fans and diversify by luring

Those are good reasons to not go to the others and it sounds like you’re happy with Starbucks. The most important reason I don’t go is I don’t like their coffee, but all the reasons you listed for going are not the case in NYC. They’re filthy here, frequently out of milk or half and half, the coffee is really

Thank goodness for the Australians who seem to work overtime to make America look elegant by comparison. Amazing photos.
