Yesterday night I turned to BBC America to while away an hour before I went to bed. My wife and I couldn’t tolerate more than 5 minutes of Chris Evans shouting about one thing or the other. I had read the bad reviews and thought people just missed Clarkson, so even an average show seems bad, but no. It actually was

I rented the current version of this car from Hertz a month back. I had really low expectations from it, but I must confess it was a lot better than that. If you want a car to get you from point A to point B in relative comfort, this is a reasonable choice. That doesn’t mean it is awesome, though, just better than

This is the Subaru I know and love. I was so taken aback when I came to the US and heard of Subaru’s reputation here as makers of safe cars for people who cared about the environment. I wondered “what about those huge, huge turbos and the huge, huge wings?” :D

Even the older models had the same components, but the suspension definitely was setup differently. Recently I drove a BRZ after having driven an FR-S for close to 2 years, and the initial turn-in was the main difference I noticed. Not enough of a difference that you would notice it in daily highway driving, but just

Think of the Miata and the Fiata much like you would the Toyobaru twins, the Toyota FR-S and the Subaru BRZ. They share the same basic genetics, so they’re going to be broadly similar in how they take a corner. But there’s a definite difference.

This “real people, not actors” thing has to end. I have had enough, and now these ads irritate me more than the Liberty Mutual Insurance commercials.

That is hilarious :D

The woman made a choice to marry him, and she is an adult who can make her own decisions. Why aren’t you too disturbed by that? How can somebody who is 31 find someone who is 60 sexually attractive? This isn’t Saudi Arabia where a 60 year old man marries a 16 year old girl and the girl has no saying in it.

Yes and no. If you *never* go to their events because there are children there, you risk looking like a petulant man-baby. It’s like you’re saying you don’t care about your friend because they can’t always socialize on your terms.

What’s there to elaborate? I drove the Maruti Suzuki for several years. From the age of 15 till I turned 21.

So, understand that your friends’ parties are going to suck now, so go, be social, then leave early to have an adult dinner/movie/whatever later.

My wife and I never wanted kids. My parents know about it and have tried their best to change my opinion, starting by saying that I will change my opinion, and eventually reaching the “you are a selfish asshole” phase. Her parents don’t know it yet. You aren’t alone, and I don’t think there is any problem with not

No German automotive manufacturer would ever have dared to show such an ugly potato in public.

Come on, it was a Mustang. They have a mind of their own.

My wife likes to drink Starbucks at least once a week. Her drink costs around $5. This is a pretty minor cost for us, but this does mean that monthly we spend around $20-25 on this drink. If the frequency is increased, this could end up being close to $75, which is not a minor expense. If you are living paycheck to

cue the “I like how this car looks but I’m unsure about FIAT reliability so I’m going to get the uglier Miata” idiots...

I read this early today morning on BBC and wondered why BBC was reporting it before specialized car/hacking related outlets. This makes more sense now.

I’m tired of magazines sayin’ flat butts are the thing...

It’s taboo to admit that all German soldiers or even Nazis might not have been terrible human beings - let alone distinguish the difference between them.

It will depend on the torque curve. There used to be a dip between 3000 to 4000 rpm. If they have made it go away, people would notice that and think this was due to the extra 5 HP. If they keep the torque curve the same, I doubt if anyone would notice it on the road. Probably if someone has driven the older car to
