I’d been seeing ads on Facebook for this for a few months which - since my Facebook is generally filled with ads that are straight up lies for mobile games that do not exist - was not a particularly encouraging sign. That said, I’d been craving something new and figured what the hell and grabbed it over the weekend

A worthy follow-up comment from “buttmunchers.”

They seem to be similar to Piranha Bytes in that regard. Earlier this year I picked up Elex and fell in love with the world despite the absolutely atrocious combat and bizarre right angle difficulty curve (combat goes from impossible to one-shot-everything after like the twenty hour mark).

Marvel isn’t DC with the whole “I DON’T KILL PEOPLE I’M TOO GOOD FOR THAT” - except when it’s like one-on-one and serves the plot to be like, “This feels murdery, I’m gonna be better than that.” Like, the Avengers pretty unambiguously killed a shit ton of random henchmen throughout all the Phase 1-3 movies. Especially with how turbulent Bioware has become lately. There are never enough good open world RPGs out there.

Does it seem like this could be the title that finally makes Spiders crack the big time? In the past their titles have seemed to be super interesting concepts and settings paired with awful combat and generally rather hammy stories. This looks kind of awesome, though.

Right? Bring on the Sea Spider apocalypse, I say! That’s some good eatin’, right there.

That’s the classic joke, right? “I read Playboy for the articles.” But a lot of people actually did.

It’s literally (metaphorically) haunting.

Looks like there’s a sequel coming out soon - IGN had a first 30 minutes playthrough. What do you think the odds are that they’ll improve on the issues of the first game? I know that developer tends to be similar to Spiders in the quality of games they release.

OT but I miss Ryan Kwanten. He was such a dumb jerk of a character that became so lovable (if still very dumb) in True Blood. And so pretty. Sigh. STAR IN MORE THINGS, PLZ.

Shoot - I was just selling a bunch of oldTF2 and other Steam Marketplace items the other day to try and make money for that VR headset - if only I’d known! RIP.

“It inevitably joins the recent flock of dystopian dramas that stress the importance of fatherhood, like It Comes at Night or A Quiet Place.”

Shitty dudes sure love an excuse to lob hate at a woman.

Obligatory:
