I think one white guy saying “I do not relate to this movie not about white guys” is not a good take. Then you either realize that 1. You are the wrong person to review this movie or 2. You are incapable of opening yourself up to the experiences of others who are different than you and please refer back to #1.

wow, Spiritualized, I don’t know when I’ve heard of him playing the US or what his live shows are like, that’s the biggest surprise to see up there. Apparently he just released a single for the first time in years and the cover art for it is a flattened prescription box with the track information, which is brilliant.

That’s a pretty damn good lineup. 

i think this is one of those things where if you look at it and shrug and say ‘looks goofy’ that says more about you than the movie. no offence. 

Counterpoint, I like the rotoscoping. It gives a dreamlike quality to everything, like the filtration of memory.

I don’t see how rotoscoping looks dated, it never really enjoyed mainstream trend status, it just pops up from time to time when a director feels like putting in the time to do it. Scanner Darkly ages really well in my opinion.

I find Constantine to be an actually pretty good movie, it’s just a bad Constantine movie, if that makes any sense. Slap another name on Keanu and it wouldn’t be as dismissed as it tends to be.
