I think the problem lies in human nature of “follow the leader”. If you look at history, how many followers of a leader can you name?

Oil furnace?

That’s not exactly true. Sure, utility scale solar is much cheaper than residential. But part of that is due to the high acquisition costs, permits and the like which forces costs upwards. If solar panels are installed with construction, their price would be a lot cheaper.

Can you explain where the disaster was?

We haven’t come full circle just yet! The future is carriages being pulled by electric horses!

They are transporting batteries, but again, even if you fill up the trailer you won’t get the same weight as simply concrete.

Tesla Model 3 pack weights 1,054 lb each. And their volume is pretty large. On top of that you can’t just load packs on top of each other and call it a day. You would need some packaging to act as a cushion and a racket to hold them in place.

The weight density of batteries is less than concrete.

No, EV fires are rare because they are less likely to catch on fire. The statistics already account for things like miles traveled and cars on the road. Generally speaking, unless the battery gets penetrated, the chance of a fire is virtually 0.

It’s not really a problem. People seem to misunderstand something about the grid. It isn’t stressed because of the high load. It is stressed because of the high load during peak times and low load during offpeak times. The problem is no one wants to spend 500 million on a powerplant that will operate only 1-2 hours a

Not at all. Most of the usage tends to be in heating up from cold start, but your not gonna be cold starting the semi, and even if you are, you’ll still be fine considering the size of battery vs the size compartment.

...

It’s not odd for the CHP, they won’t have to do emissions checks. So less work for them.

Well to be fair, that whole thing isn’t just a motor but motor + inverter. The motor portion is only half of it. The other half is the inverter

You mean so they don’t crash into the sturdy EV with their gas car and have the fragile gasoline cars explode?

Depends on what you need one for? In modern day, many sedans including the Model 3 have foldable rear seats that you can carry larger things by folding the seats.

In a car that should weight less than 3000lb? you mean the roadster 2? who made that law? Bugatti Veyron weights 4,044lb. Maserati GranTurismo weights 4,140 lb.

You are aware the laws of physics works for anything right? We know the theoretical limits of batteries and there is plenty of room for improvements. LION chemistry can still improve tremendously even with liquid electrolyte, and move to solid state would make them even more room for improvement not to mention other

If you read your own thread, it is talking about TEMPORARY superchargers, and the permanent superchargers remained open still.

Do you have any reports of Tesla chargers being decommissioned due to lack of paying rent? I haven’t seen any. Only time I’ve seen chargers decommissioned is due to repair or if they are moving the charger to a different location. (And even then a decommissioned charger is extremely rare)
