Exactly this. I was extremely disturbed by Signs and I fault Fire in the Sky.

Fire in the (motherfucking) Sky. I sneaked this movie at a far too young age and it still haunts me. This is the reason why aliens freak me the fuck out. Never getting this out of my nightmares.

The reason why I prefer the book, in this case, is that the book is so much a fairy tale, like old school almost grimm kind of fairy tale. It is a story about Faerie. Everything was so black and white in the movie and moved at such a quick pace (I get it, it was a movie). The book took time to let Yvaine and Tristan…

I feel like the vampire thing has been played out for now. I could be wrong but I don’t see a lot of interest in a rebooted Blade series. Also where would it fit in with the larger Marvel Film Universe?

Prefer the book, but this by far was the best addition to it.
