Gita, thank you for this--and particularly for taking the time to collect opinions from the broader fanbase.

I personally find what Jontron had to say during the “debate” (if such it can be called with a straight face) absolutely repugnant, on both a (personal) moral level, and as someone who is reasonably well-versed

Apparently preserving white majority in America is very important to JonTron. Although he’s never really told us why...

Call your congressmen. Call them frequently. PUT THEM UNDER PRESSURE. Make them understand you are not happy.

Could it not be more likely that programming all possibilities that can occur in life might be a lot more cumbersome/costly/require more time/etc. than programming the most prevalent occurrences?

I wish developers who create things with strong implicit biases, could just admit they did so with bias involved. As humans, certain experiences make it very easy to create things that cater specifically narrow standards, right?

I feel like admitting that we are flawed and can always do better, is way more acceptable

Am I the only one who thinks that virulent shit talking should be relegated to exclusively amongst friends and not in the public eye?

Or this could have been mitigated... not by being an internal police state to your children, but by talking to them ahead of time and teaching? <—- which would also be parenting?

Taking the creepy uncle’s side, it’s not just Thailand, it’s literally every other place in the world. Check out ages of consent all throughout Europe. Just because the U.S. is set at 18 (in most states) doesn’t make it the sole arbiter of moral authority.

It’s Jimmy Savile. He was a well-known children’s entertainer in the UK from the 70s onwards who died a few years back. Despite rumours for years about paedophilia no charges were ever brought and when he died the BBC put on a load of stuff celebrating his work as he was seen as a national hero through his charity

I apologize for coming off as crass and snarky in my comment.

Or maybe, bear with me, just maybe, sometimes a linear focused experience offers a better way to explain a narrative than does an open world game, where you can do things in disorder and then diludes heavily the lore and cinematic focused experience of the story. The game is rich with lore, this tells me the first

This is still speculation and not a clear answer, If the game even has multiplayer in lobbies is unconfirmed by these tweets. Just speculation that the servers are overloaded, but the game isn’t even transmitting positional data, so either there’s a trigger for the lobby system or something else is wrong.

You’ll never get hired in PR with that type of clear, honest statement. Low level community manager at best...

I played for 3 hours on Monday, and every time I went into the menu it was always saying “Trying to connect” but it still let me continue playing. Maybe they were playing but not actually connected.

First off- as far as the box art being labeled as SP.. I think initially Sean thought it’d be so incredibly rare meeting with other players that it’s best to say it’s SP and not a MP experience. If you label it as MP- people will expect DM type modes, coop, among other things.

“Hey, we don’t know what the issue is yet, but those players should’ve seen each other! We’re looking into it.”

And if it’s a server issue, why wouldn’t they just say so?
