The survey started on November 3, 2014 (see the methodology link above), and AirTran’s final flight wasn’t until December 28.

Despite the fact that it is not fancy, she is receiving an excellent education and the DOE gives teachers little to no latitude on what and how they teach.

God YES. I watched DOOL with my mom for years and years and years (I finally had to drop it during Marlena’s devil possession, I couldn’t swallow it). I picked Ryan’s Hope on my own but it was fairly short lived. :-(

Others have pretty much said the same thing, but my daughter attends a Lutheran school in NYC. The school constantly struggles for money—tuition alone won’t cut it, so they constantly have their hands in our pockets (which is fine, it’s what I signed up for). Definitely not posh, and frankly I’m surprised to hear that

But you have to like a bird who eats ice cream as a snack. :-)

I miss my mom a lot. She died 3+ years ago and I'm still grieving. But, I will never forget the day she said—while I was in high school— how great I looked at the end of my three week bout with mono. :-( I am so careful with my daughter 100% because of that offhand comment 25 years ago.

YES. I like the way LL Bean boots look, but when it came time for new winter boots, I asked my sister-in-law what boots she has (she lives in Minnesota). She has Sorel, and a recommendation from a Minnesota resident was good enough for me.

I posted it on another reply. I promise, it sounds a little weird but it’s so good!

“Subsidies” is not the same as free. Her employer plan very well could have been 100% paid for—the plan I’m on is.

Mostly because she was the one with the job that had health insurance! They could have swung it if they didn't have to pay for that out of pocket.

We are from the Midwest so there is cream of mushroom soup involved. My mom passed in 2012 and this makes me happy. :-)

After we already dug in :-)

I made my mom’s super spaghetti casserole last night and I have leftovers. :-)

Beats me. I wouldn’t do it.

You seem to think I’ve advocated for this solution because I commented on what the purpose ultimately (probably) is of a short-term agreement like this. I have not. In any case, it should be easy enough to allow anyone to create a valid health care proxy, but from the little I know they are somewhat easily contested

The laws are all over the place. In the U.S. there are only nine or ten states that currently recognize a common law marriage. Canada varies from province to province but I couldn’t find anything less than two years of continuous cohabitation.

I think what they’re probably getting at is some kind of short-term formality that grants the benefits of married people without a long term commitment. Live-ins generally don’t have any kind of rights when it comes to medical decisions, for instance, or tax benefits.

This same woman said she said that she was also so offended because of SO MANY PEOPLE she knows with infertility and these women should be HAPPY they are pregnant. As if their pregnancies would change the (unfortunate) circumstance of women wanting to get pregnant but not being able to.
