Respect, Nick. Expressing any version of “there is a greater context to voter apathy that is being ignored by those in the position to do something about it” is inviting a whole slew of abuse.

Tension related to how the concerns were handled... How can they say this and provide no concrete examples? If they voted, it should have been on specific “concerns” attached to specific incidents at specific games and with specific players. If it’s truly about safety, cite safety concerns, otherwise you look like

“There is nothing left in this country that unifies us as a whole.”

Of... nationalizm and white terrorism, that you are either actively encouraging or clearly not discouraging? Go on...

Telling people who have no choices that will represent them that their “indifference is the greatest threat to our democracy” is victim-blaming, in my opinion.

Fren... “just trying to rile up the crowd” is NOT good enough anymore.

I think what we need are candidates who will give people hope AND FOLLOW IT WITH CHANGE. I mean... Hope and Change was how Obama styled himself, and it sure worked to get him elected.

Yes, and... If you give people Hope FOR Change, but fail to convert that hope into lasting change... then you got people inspired, got people to feel less indifferent, got their asses out to the voting booth... and then failed them. They will either slide back into indifference or have trouble trusting you and/or your

1. I was replying to your post, which was a reply to BigfootWriggleman’s post, in which you read the following, and STILL insisted that the so-called democratic context in which people have observed that their votes don’t count and/or have been cowed into a soma of apathy by many, many years of ALL politicians saying

I am buried in the greys, and it sucks on days like today.

How is voting to decide the direction of a whole country less important than which saint people pray to, or who they marry?

So voter apathy has nothing to do with:

It’s compulsive collective blindness across the board. I cannot believe there are so few commentators who see this, and so many who think an honest millennial blogger like Libby Watson calling out a legit strategic flaw is the REAL problem and the REAL place where they should spill their hate and bile so it counts.

Obama campaigned on hope and change, then he appointed a cabinet recommended by Citigroup, bailed out Wall Street but not the public, maintained old wars and bombed new countries, drone bombed countless (uncounted) people including US citizens, pushed for the TPP while Hillary backtracked on it and Trump campaigned on

AMEN.

Ugh I literally had to scroll down this far to get to someone not here to engage in a public spanking, instead of further dialogue.

I can’t believe I am the only one who feels this way, but here goes:

Friend, as a recreational pot smoker from Canada where MJ will be legal in 9 days / legal medical pot user (CBD oil for the win, my PTSD would have me hiding in a room without it) I am now BANNED from travelling to the US.
