This is so sad. I take for granted having a kid in a country where we can generally assume kids are safe at school, and being underresourced means teachers sometimes have to buy their own pencil crayons or erasers.

Yeah, that’s the thing: Protestant churches and synagogues are kind of like franchises (varies from church to church even in the same sect), while the Catholic Church is kind of like a corporation (it’s pretty much the same wherever you go).
